Close The Loop Caribbean is a private company and consortium representing several partner organizations who have become recognized leading entities in the local and regional space as it pertains to climate change, carbon offsets, community education and empowerment, and soil-water-land regeneration activities.
Close The Loop’s core partners are implementing key projects and programmes in T&T and the Caribbean which are focused on land regeneration, reforestation, and food security through novel bio-tech approaches to bring scalable organic agriculture to T&T and the Caribbean – CTL’s direct oversight, design and management of significant and scalable projects in the carbon-offset and impact space have positioned it to establish one of the region’s first carbon offset verification and certification companies.
CTL provides on the ground, technical, networking and added-impact opportunities for its collaboration partners who work alongside to develop a variety of circular economy solutions such as:
A private enterprise and the first company in the Caribbean to introduce and promote compostable packaging, and to advocate strongly for the development of industrial scale composting facilities to treat with this type of waste during and following participation in consultations with the Ministry of Planning and Development and the Trinidad & Tobago Bureau of Standards, and which has played a leading role in the development of Close The Loop .
A non-profit organization aimed at driving positive social and environmental change, which has led significant quarry rehabilitation activities to date (25+ acres) working alongside the Environmental Management Authority (EMA) and National Quarries Company Limited (NQCL) and which has undertaken to carry forth these activities into the future sustained by the CTL model through investment of development partners, companies, and
other entities wishing to offset-carbon; where organic waste captured will contribute to topsoil regeneration which is necessary as part of quarry rehabilitation activities, through mulching and compost applications.
A subsidiary of AP Scott Ltd focused on industrial scale mushroom farming alongside the production specialized compost extracts which can serve as an alternative to traditional chemical fertilizers, and which are generated using the organic waste produced from mushroom farming operations and other organic inputs from relevant waste streams.
A private company which has been leading activities in compost and soil generation using organic waste inputs for 15+ years, and which has recently undertaken investments to scale up these activities, and which therefore has significant current capacity to receive and treat organic waste.
Vetiver TT EES Ltd was founded to bring civil engineering expertise into sustainable solutions design, making use of the Vetiver System (VS) as a green, less invasive and more cost-effective approach to tackle soil and water related challenges, with the aim of leaving our people and the environment in stronger places than where they started.
